Description
In the late 1400s, deep within the Funj Sultanate of Sudan. A forbidden love defied bloodlines and faith. Sawar, a hardworking artisan turned landowner, raises his noble and respectful son, Abu Araki. Sawar’s elder brother, Al Fadil, is the opposite, he is lazy, entitled, and embittered that their father favored Sawar. Though Sawar prospers, Al Fadil falls into malice and resentment.
Abu Araki, later falls in love with Tamaya, a Christian woman from Makuria. She abandoned her family and her religious faith to be with him, and together they built a life of devotion thatbwas challenged by years of childlessness, envy, and betrayal.
From their union was born Jamal, a boy whose love and infatuatiin for his cousin Onatti would ignite a conflict that tore two families apart. Greed and envy drove Al Fadil, Abu Araki’s embittered elder brother, to conspire with a ruthless warlord, setting in motion a plot that would end in blood and sand.
